Watkins Crab Snack & Dip Seasoning, article # 02054 is temporarily unavailable in the US due to an ingredient recall.

Watkins Incorporated has been contacted by our vendor that provides ingredients used to make our Crab Snack and Dip Seasoning, indicating that they have reason to believe an ingredient could be potentially contaminated with Salmonella. Products with lot Numbers 40261 and 39554 are effected. If you recently purchased this product in the US please check the lot number and dispose of the product immediately if it has one of the above lot numbers. Call Watkins customer service so that we can either replace the Crab Snack and Dip Seasoning with another Watkins Dip Seasoning or a issue you a refund. Have your account number or order confirmation number ready when you call for quickest service.

Current backorders will be cancelled and a refund issued, no new backorders will be taken. The in stock date is uncertain at this time.

This product sold in Canada is not effected by this recall.

Flavored salts serve as a quick, easy seasoning and are great sprinkled on popcorn, potatoes, corn on the cob, meats and vegetables.

Watkins Butter Salt – article # 01993, and Watkins Celery Salt – article # 01996 are temporarily unavailable in Canada and the United States. Unfortunately Watkins is experiencing a vendor issue. No back-orders will be taken and there are no suggested substitute for these two salts.

Watkins Garlic Salt – article # 01998
Stock Status: Sold out in US. Quantities limited in Canada.
Suggested substitute for garlic salt is garlic granules.

These flavored salts are all expected in stock approximately the first part of June 2007. I’ve got my fingers crossed as these are perfect for barbecue season.

Caramel Extract is currently unavailable as Watkins is unable to locate an acceptable source for one of the key ingredients. You can substitute Butter Pecan Extract in most recipes that call for caramel. As soon as this popular product is available I’ll let you know here or you can contact us to be placed on a special notification list. Don’t worry, this list is only used to notify you about the product that you are inquiring about, please put caramel extract in the subject on the form.
