I’ve had so many requests for this extract and it’s no wonder as the rich, sweet flavor is perfect in a fruit dip, excellent in frostings, cookies and many desserts. The recipe below is one of my favorites, it will keep in the fridge for several weeks… if your kids don’t find it!
Caramel Apple Dip
Mix together the following using an electric mixer:
1 package (8 oz/227 g) softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup/60 mL brown sugar, 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Double-Strength Vanilla and 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Caramel Extract.
Core and slice apples, pears or other firm fruit and serve with the dip.

I was starting to get a bit worried, one of the products we use every day has been unavailable since February. I am pleased to announce Watkins Peppermint Toothpaste (02332) is in stock and available to order in both the US and Canada. Fortunately I did have enough stock on hand for my local customers and our family.
We prefer Watkins toothpaste because it whitens your teeth without harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. The high foaming formula helps fight cavities with fluoride and prevents tartar while freshening your whole mouth with mint. We love the natural mint flavor which is complemented by all natural parsley seed and sunflower oils for long-lasting freshness. Flavored salts serve as a quick, easy seasoning and are great sprinkled on popcorn, potatoes, corn on the cob, meats and vegetables.
Watkins Butter Salt – article # 01993, and Watkins Celery Salt – article # 01996 are temporarily unavailable in Canada and the United States. Unfortunately Watkins is experiencing a vendor issue. No back-orders will be taken and there are no suggested substitute for these two salts.
Watkins Garlic Salt – article # 01998

Suggested substitute for garlic salt is garlic granules.
