I’m Loving Watkins New Lavender Liquid Dish Soap

p1010001.JPGI attended Watkins Great Escape Conference last month and brought home one of our new natural home care products. Each attendee received a goody bag of new products to take home and try. I started using our new Lavender Liquid Dish Soap and I am simply delighted! The non-toxic plant-based formula is fragranced with all natural lavender and rosemary oils, with build in grease cutters to clean even the toughest baked on casserole dish. Just a few drops dispensed with the handy flip top cap fills the sink with suds and we get sparkling dishes even with our hard water.

Not only does this new dish soap work wonderfully, it’s environmentally friendly, 100% naturally derived and readily biodegradable. I’ve had so many requests for this extract and it’s no wonder as the rich, sweet flavor is perfect in a fruit dip, excellent in frostings, cookies and many desserts. The recipe below is one of my favorites, it will keep in the fridge for several weeks… if your kids don’t find it!

Caramel Apple Dip

Mix together the following using an electric mixer:
1 package (8 oz/227 g) softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup/60 mL brown sugar, 1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Double-Strength Vanilla and 1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Caramel Extract.

Core and slice apples, pears or other firm fruit and serve with the dip.
