Butter, Celery and Garlic Flavored Salt

Flavored salts serve as a quick, easy seasoning and are great sprinkled on popcorn, potatoes, corn on the cob, meats and vegetables.

Watkins Butter Salt – article # 01993, and Watkins Celery Salt – article # 01996 are temporarily unavailable in Canada and the United States. Unfortunately Watkins is experiencing a vendor issue. No back-orders will be taken and there are no suggested substitute for these two salts.

Watkins Garlic Salt – article # 01998
Stock Status: Sold out in US. Quantities limited in Canada.
Suggested substitute for garlic salt is garlic granules.

These flavored salts are all expected in stock approximately the first part of June 2007. I’ve got my fingers crossed as these are perfect for barbecue season.

Watkins Caramel Extract

Caramel Extract is currently unavailable as Watkins is unable to locate an acceptable source for one of the key ingredients. You can substitute Butter Pecan Extract in most recipes that call for caramel. As soon as this popular product is available I’ll let you know here or you can contact us to be placed on a special notification list. Don’t worry, this list is only used to notify you about the product that you are inquiring about, please put caramel extract in the subject on the form.

Watkins Purest Granulated Black Pepper

 Customers are always telling me how they like Watkins pepper better than any other brand. They’ve just got to have their Watkins black pepper, nothing else will do.

It’s true, most brands of pepper can’t compare to Watkins and I noticed this myself when we were staying with friends. My friends cooked and served us a lovely breakfast, and the eggs were smothered in pepper… ah, I like pepper but not that much! Anyways, I had to be polite and eat my eggs, so I took my first bite expecting it to be very peppery but I couldn’t even taste the pepper and there was no pepper bite! I was amazed and a little bit relieved as I finished my breakfast. My husband on the other hand loves pepper, so after he had taken his first bite he gave his eggs a very generous sprinkling of pepper. He mentioned to me on our way home that he still couldn’t taste the pepper! You can probably guess what our friends received as a gift from our family, some real pepper! I made sure to mention that she might notice that the Watkins pepper is a bit stronger than what she was using before! ;)

It’s funny when you use a product all the time, you don’t realize or think about how it might be different or better than a similar product, until you try that other product. I’ve had people tell me they only use fresh pepper that they grind themselves, and when they try Watkins pepper they are always delighted by the fresh taste. So, if you are a pepper fan and you haven’t tried Watkins Purest Granulated Black Pepper yet, now is a great time! You’ll taste a real difference!
